About

Sandwell’s world-class Aquatics Centre is now open to the public.

The centre in Londonderry Lane, Smethwick, was the only brand-new venue built for the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games. It now offers a huge range of swimming, sport and exercise facilities for everyone in the community.

The facility includes:

A community swimming pool
1,000 permanent spectator seats
three activity studios
two 4-court sports halls
108-station gym
25-station ladies-only gym
indoor cycling studio
dry diving centre
sauna/steam room
new football pitch and changing facilities
new urban park and children’s play area
café
