About

Wednesbury Museum is Sandwell's Museum and Art Gallery. It is a purpose built Victorian museum, housing collections which include fine art paintings, old toys, one of the world's largest collections of Ruskin pottery and our Nostalgia Rooms showcasing everyday objects from the 60s and 70s. There is also a changing programme of temporary exhibitions and activities to run alongside them as well as a lively programme of events for all ages and school holiday activities and a wide variety of community users.

Entrance to Wednesbury Museum is through the purple double doors on Holyhead Rd. Entrance to the museum is free but there may be a small charge for some events and activities. 

unfortunately we have no catering facilities onsite apart from some events and activities where refreshments may be offered. Morrisons supermarket opposite has a cafe and there are other opportunities for refreshments in Wednesbury town centre a 5 minute walk away.

Accessibility.

There is accessible parking next to the museums as part of the pay and display car park.

The entrance to the museum is accessible and there is a lift to the first floor and an accessible toilet on the first floor.

I'm sorry but we are unable to accommodate pushchairs around the building, please leave them in the pushchair park zone on the right as you enter the building or if possible in your car as space is limited.

Getting to us

There is a pay and display car park next to the museum and the bus station is a 3 minue walk away. There is a tram station a 10 minute walk away.
