The Haunted Museum. Friday 4 October, 6.30pm-8.30pm. Join Professor Black as he tells you about 25 objects said to be haunted, possessed or cursed. Each of the objects is normally kept under lock and key for the safety of the public but you will have the opportunity to see them firsthand and hear the tales of terror behind each one... we dare you! Suitable for ages 16+, all tickets £4.00. Booking essential via Ticketsource. SOLD OUT

Autumn Craft. Saturday 19 October, 11am-3pm. Spend the day with us making autumnal creations in our decorated Great Hall. The house will be open for you to explore the old beams and stories with a trail for young visitors. Tea room open. Free entry, small charges for crafts apply. Just drop in.

Creepy Critters with Zoolab. Sunday 20 October, sessions at 11am, 12pm and 1pm. Enjoy a hands-on session meeting a whole host of creepy critters and learning fun and gruesome facts! Children must be accompanied by an adult. Tickets cost £5 per child, £1.50 per accompanying adult. Sessions last for 45 minutes. Booking essential via Ticketsource. 

Spooky Building Tour. (for older children) Friday 25 October, 5pm-6.30pm. Join the Friends of Bromwich Hall on a tour of the building and hear chilling tales from each room. Suitable for 11-16 year olds, tickets cost £5 per child. Parents must accompany children but can sit in the tea room while children are on the tour. Ticket price includes a drink and a cake. Booking essential via the Friends of Bromwich Hall Eventbrite page 

Pumpkin Carving. Tuesday 29 October, sessions at 10am, 11.30am and 1pm. Pick your own pumpkin from our stall and carve it using a template to help you. All ages welcome. Sessions last for one hour. Tickets cost £4.00, booking essential via ticketsource.  

Halloween Disco. Wednesday 30 October, 6pm-7.30pm. Wear your favourite costume and dance the night away to our spooktastic tunes. Enjoy the tuck shop and have a go at our tombola. £1.50 per ticket for both children and adults, all children must be accompanied by an adult. Booking essential via ticketsource, no tickets available on the door. 

Halloween Family Yoga. Thursday 31 October, 11.30am-12.30pm. Join Bryony Morris for a fun family yoga session with a Halloween theme! There will be yoga and mindfulness activities for the whole family – you will move, play, breathe and relax. You do not need to be strong or flexible to attend, just be prepared to take part and enjoy! Booking essential via Bryony Morris Yoga website. Tickets cost £3 for over 16s and £2 for under 16s. Family ticket option available online.

Breastfeeding Network infant feeding drop-in support session: Every Thursday 12.30pm -2pm (excluding half term). Drop-in support group creating a free, safe space for parents to meet other parents, ask questions and access evidence-based information on all aspects of breastfeeding/chest feeding and infant feeding for babies of all ages. The Canterville Ghost. Theatre for families. Saturday 26 October 5pm. Enjoy comedy and chills in this original adaptation of the charming Oscr wilde tale, written especially for children and young families. This one-man show featuring much audience participation, is guaranteed to raise more than just a ghost of a smile. Philip Jennings stars in a show that’s written by Jonathan Goodwin, and directed by Gary Archer. This family performance is suitable for ages 6 years and over. Early bird tickets available until end of September.

A Horrific Halloween at Haden Old Hall. Thursday 31 October 11am-3pm. Spooky Family fun at Haden Old Hall. Not for the faint hearted, enter if you dare-  we warn you this is a spooky one! Children’s entertainer & spooky games. Free entry, no need to book. Small charge for some activities

Autumn Family Fun at Haden Hill House Museum Thursday 31 October 11am-3pm. Celebrate all things Autumn, enjoy our autumn crafts, trails & games with our plethora of pumpkins & our colourful autumn decorations. (this is not spooky, just autumnal)

Fungi Foray!: Sunday 20 October 11:00-2:00pm With Lukas Large, Natural Science Curator from Birmingham Museums Trust. Sunday 20th October 2024. An exciting opportunity to come and learn all about mushrooms and toadstools and see how many different varieties we get at Oak House. Visit our magical toadstool barn, find our toadstool trail and enjoy crafts from 50p. House and Tea Room open. Suitable for all ages. Free Entry.

Dreadful Disco!: Tuesday 29 October 11:30am, 12:45pm and 2pm Join Ron Popple for our Dreadful Discos – wear your best spooky costumes and show us your best moves! Three 45 minute sessions are available. Booking is essential at ticketsource Suitable for all ages. £1.50 per ticket.

Halloween Teddy Bear Zip Wire! Tuesday 29 October 11:00-3:00pm. Explore Oak House dressed for Halloween and meet some of our resident ghosts – if you dare! Bring your teddy bear for a go on our Halloween zip wire. Spooky crafts will be available from 50p. Light refreshments will be available in the tea room. The house is quite scary, so may only be suitable for older children. Free Entry.

Halloween Crafts & Trails Wednesday 30 October 11:00-3:00pm Explore Oak House dressed for Halloween! Spooky crafts and trails are available from 50p. Light refreshments will be available in the tea room. Suitable for all ages. Free Entry.

Terrible Turtons! Thursday 31 October 5:00pm-8:00pm - Gates close at 7.30pm. Ever wondered what Oak House was like after dark? Come and have a look around the old house illuminated by candlelight on the most haunted night of the year! Come dressed in your scary outfits and knock on the old door for trick or treating! Hear 400 year old terrible tales of the some of the inhabitants of the house! Tea Room Open. Suitable for adults and older children. No need to book. £1.00 entry.
