  1. Haden Hill House is a late-Victorian residence that is now a museum furnished in period style, set in a large park.
    1. Oak House
Oak House in West Bromwich is a delightful half-timbered yeoman farmer's house built about 1620 with brick additions at the rear built in the 1650s as the family wealth and status grew. The Turton family who are associated with the house at this time were yeoman (posh farmers) and nail makers; later expanding to be money lender, making loans to impoverished royalist gentry after the English Civil War. Discover more about the Turtons on site and how they lived at Oak House, explore the talking barrels in the Old Barn and explore our wildlife grounds. There is also a lively programme of public open days, events, activities and school sessions throughout the year.
