About

Thimblemill Library contains a beautiful Art Deco interior, and is at the centre of thriving community activity. It is close to Lightwoods House and Park, and also Victoria Park. It regularly hosts music and other events. It was the UK’s first Library of Sanctuary, awarded for its work with the local community.

You will find a selection of books for all ages, along with computers and free wi-fi. There are learning sessions, such as basic ICT, careers advice and more.

There is a children’s section with regular activities going on, especially in school holidays.

Our friendly staff will help you find what you’re after, whether that’s a book or information on any subject.
